Burlington has been a great place to raise a family. My wife Jackie and I are celebrating our 28th anniversary and have made our home here in Burlington for the last 20 years. We have raised 2 daughters both graduates of Burlington Edison HS. Annie, 25, graduated from WWU and is currently working on her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Zoe, 21 graduated from WSU (GoCougs!) earning her Masters in Teaching. It is here my family has been invested in our community through public service and in volunteering where we are needed most for the past 5 decades. Whether we are needed to build sandbags during the seasonal floods on the Skagit River or in delivering meals and food from the food bank to those in need. Be it helping local organizations in getting the message out about local food security or being leaders in organizations like 4-H or coaches in sports teams for our local youth. We all have to give back and invest the strength and gifts we have developed so our quality of life here in Skagit Valley can continue and grow in the youth of our community.

After leading teams for Aflac locally for 7 years, I found the real need for small business owners was needing help navigating health insurance for their employees and needing a partner to help them design a long term strategy in spending their dollars the best way possible. A trusted advisor to get the highest return on investment, create a culture they are proud of and is competitive to attract the best employees to their businesses and retain them. I grew up in small business with my family and understand both sides of ownership and being an employee. I think that is unique in a broker that can come in and understand the challenges of rising costs on employers while understanding the needs of employees.
