Jim McGregor

Jim’s insurance career started in January of 1984, at the time he quickly noticed the medical insurance market was vastly under served by the brokerage community. In October of that year he founded McGregor Insurance Agency Inc, specializing in all areas of health insurance. Having a dual career in the Air Force, he retired in 2000 to devote full time effort to employer health plans. By 2002 his client load was maxed, and the agency added several additional producers to meet the demands of the local market. The agency further evolved into McGregor Benefits in 2007. Jim’s primary focus has always been employer health plans. Since agency inception in ’84, health insurance has been the total focus. The business model was very unique at the time. Unique in the sense that everything is done for the client short of paying premiums from our pockets, and getting sick or hurt on their behalf. Another unique part of the agency business model is every producer is the sole owner of their customer base which equates to each producer being very much vested in customer satisfaction. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting from The University of Great Falls, as well as the Registered Health Underwriter designation from The American College of Financial Services, Bryn Mawr, PA.
